Went on walk downtown to change money, stopped and bought some thread and needles from Bazar Jerry and then headed back to Mission House to shower and get ready for the day.

Finished one last load of clothes before the teams get here. Pretty hot by mid-morning. Had a yummy lunch and then headed out to Managua at 2:30pm with José, who doesn’t speak English. We chatted just a little bit on the way to the airport, but I was in a drowsy mood and tried to nap. Never did go to sleep, but it felt good to just rest.

Got to the airport 1 hour early, but was expecting the drive to take longer because of some issues with people blocking roads for political reasons. Roads were all clear, though, so it was fine.

German called me at the airport and said that Manuel and Roland were there a couple of hours early, because they hadn’t gotten the change in arrival time for the later team. So I looked for them and gave them some money for dinner. We chatted a lot and had a good time. Manuel said my Spanish is getting much better.

Nate’s team got in and we collected their luggage and headed for the van. The larger suitcases were tied on top of the van and the carry-ons were put in the back. Everyone had nice room for the drive. We stopped at TipTop Chicken for them to get something to eat. They loved it. We headed back out on to the road for León.

We got to the Mission House and got their stuff unloaded. It was only about 9pm and we were waiting for the Rogers team to get here, so everyone sat around the pool and some people dangled their feet in the water while we talked and got to know each other. It was very relaxing.

I couldn’t believe that Buster wasn’t barking his head off. He’s so funny. He did steal one of the girl’s socks and took off. They learned quickly not to leave anything within his reach.

Mike got back with the Rogers team and all the luggage and tubs. We got the vans unloaded and everyone met for a quick meeting with Mike. There were a few issues with electricity and water pressure, but the teams were very nice about it.

I didn’t get to bed until about 12:30am, but it was nice to get everyone here and settled. I can’t wait to start the week! God is so good. The flights were safe and hassle-free. It’s been a blessed day.
