Thursday
Oatmeal for breakfast. Stomach is really bad today. I finally took a stomach pill from Mary. I did the devotions this morning. I used some excerpts from the book I'm reading called "Love as a Way of Life".
We worked on sorting and packing the rest of the donated clothing for today's giveaway at El Zapote. We got really hot and sweaty while working, so humid. Good thing it's just us girls so we can wear shorts and tanks and camis at the house.
The girls went out on the beach for a while. I did a video tour of the mission house and the beach. I just stood there watching the waves. So beautiful today. Blue skies, white clouds, hot sun, cool breeze, powerful waves. It was very nice.
Beth made chicken quesadillas for lunch and then we packed the van. We finished the last day of VBS at El Zapote and then gave out the clothing. It was busy and a little crazy at times.
The girls are having a good time and are working very hard. They are enjoying being interns and seeing the background of the ministry. Good blessings for them.
After El Zapote, we went to La Unión to pick up some personal things and to use the bathroom. Then we went out to eat. We ate outside of some restaurants and I got Tip Top grilled chicken breast and everyone else got Hollywood Pizza. I loved my chicken, but I have to say that it was killing me to see that gooey melted cheese. They said that the pizza was very good.
On the way home, another dog got in front of the van and we teased Danilo about killing one dog a day. I had asked Danilo at dinner about all his girlfriends. He got embarrassed. He is so fun to tease.
When we got home, I took my shower and was ready for bed at 8pm. Our work in the communities is over for the week. It's been a grand week. Thank You Lord.
